WHO WE ARE.
The space tourism society - bell chapter or STSB for short, is the bells university of technology branch of the space tourism society founded by John Spencer on the 28th of April 1996. As you can probably guess, Mr. Spencer is passionate about all things space and has an avid interest in the development of space travel and it's commercialization all so you and i can spend our next holiday among the stars.
He worked at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration or NASA as you know it before eventually leaving in 1996 to pursue his passion of promoting Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts Mathematics (S.T.E.A.M) as a way to encourage and motivate students to develop interest in SPACE.
Since then the society has grown from strength to strength and while it has been characterized by periods of inactivity in the past, we're back with a bang to promote advancement of technology on the African continent - for good, and with several high profile sponsors and backers, it is just not within the realm of possibility but in the very palm of our hands.
The African branch of the society is headed by Mr Paul Oladunni, commonly known as Mr. Space and has brought the society to greater and greater heights winning many accolades and certifications along the way, many the first of their kind in Africa. He has negotiated many collaborations with well known companies and less led previous chapters to success within a short period of time.
It is with such a massive backdrop and rich heritage that the STSB comes to you, fully equipped and ready to take you and the nation to higher heights, if only YOU'RE willing.
Our aim is to introduce you to the biggest brand of Space in the world. Our main project is to ensure that all our members enjoy the inherent benefits Space Tourism Society can offer. You might have concerns about the society's usefulness to you but don't worry, our heads not in the clouds (it's in space), we're very well grounded and aim to provide you with all the tools, skills and connections needed to succeed in life.
This includes aid in securing of scholarships, access to sponsors and funds for your next big idea and trips to conferences around the world where you can communicate and rub minds with the creme-de-la-creme and intellectuals all around the world, and that is just the tip of the iceberg.
Here at STSB, we don't like doing things in bits and pieces, which is why we have set the goal to be recognized by the international community within one year. Yes it's a lofty goal but here at the STSB, we believe it better to aim for the stars and fail than to aim for a ditch and succeed.
Again we welcome to the Space Tourism Society and look forward to see you grow just as you will witness ours.
AD ASTRA.
